Allocasuarina ‘Forest Sheoak’ 13″ Pot (Economy Grade)

Allocasuarina torulosa

The ‘Forest Sheoak’ is a hardy native Australian tree with a light brown bark and deep corky fissures. The foliage are soft, green needle-like leaves that turn a brilliant copper colour in the winter.

Male ‘Forest Sheoak’s’ produce gold flower spikes at the end of each leaflet in the autumn giving the tree a golden glow. The female trees produce a red fluffy flower and small cones. Sheoaks are good for windbreaks and nitrogen fixing. The torulosa is a wonderful specimen or feature tree if trained and trimmed appropriately.
