Daintree Pine

Gymnostoma australianum, Daintree Oak

The Daintree Pine is a rare, native Australian pine with lush green, soft looking “needles”. It is prized for its ability to grow into an attractive conical shape without the need for pruning. Perfect as a focal point of the garden, they are also often called “Daintree Christmas Trees” and make fantastic native Christmas trees.

Daintree Pine is best placed in an open, sunny location. It has a fairly slow growth rate, reaching heights of approximately 3-6 meters over a period of 10 years. It is frost tolerant.
