The Kanzan Ornamental Cherry is a very popular, vigorous, upright deciduous tree with stiff ascending branches which are covered with young coppery-red leaves in spring, turning green in summer.

Kanzan Cherry trees feature masses of clusters of double purple-pink flowers in Spring, which appear before the leaves during the latter half of September. This makes a wonderful flowering centerpiece to any garden.
