Is a small to medium sized tree with dense, lush foliage and a spreading crown, making it an idea specimen or luscious, shade tree. In midsummer it has beautiful spikes of spidery, mauve flowers with an intoxicating perfume. Hardy and easy to grow in all environments, except those with frost. It doesn’t produce chestnuts of any sort!
