The common or european larch is a fantastic deciduous conifer that originated from the mountains of Europe and the Alps. Interestingly, this conifer is classified as deciduous as it drops its needles in winter. It has bright green foliage in spring and changes to medium green throughout summer, turning a golden yellow in autumn before turning bare.
