Pennyroyal, or pennyrile, also called squaw mint, mosquito plant and pudding grass, is a species of flowering plant in the mint family.
It is a stunning creeping herb that releases a  mint aroma when walked on and produces light lavender flowers in summer. This herb has a significant medicinal history but is now not recommended to ingest. It is also reputed to provide insect repelling qualities e.g. to keep away fleas and mosquitoes.
