Why do you need to buy mulch? Because it’s the finishing touch to planting a garden, and aside from looking good, it has several key benefits. Mulch helps the soil hold in moisture and keep a stable temperature, protecting the roots of your plants. It suppresses weeds, and prevents soil washing away from rain and watering. Mulch also provides added nutrients to the soil as it breaks down.

We recommend you buy a natural, wood based mulch rather than using something like pebbles. It’s a lot cheaper, easier to spread and maintain and easy to replenish.

We have mulch for sale in 40L bags. You will generally need about one bag per 2 square metres if you want to lay it on thick to really suppress weeds. You can stretch it to one bag per 3 square meters if it’s mainly for creating a visual impact, like our red or black mulch.
