Brahmi Herb


The plant called the brahmi is a semi-aquatic creeping perennial herb, with crinkled succulent type leaves and distinctive white flowers. The herb is found floating in the waters of wetlands in tropical regions all over the world. Herbalists use the tops of the plant to prepare herbal remedies for many types of problems and disorders. The brahmi is considered to be an important herb in the ancient Indian medicine, and is reported to have similar properties to another herb called the gotu kola otherwise known as the arthritis plant here in Australia and the remedies made from both plants are used in similar ways to treat symptoms.
