$16.99

Eucalyptus youngiana

Eucalyptus youngiana, also known as the large-fruited mallee, Ooldea mallee, or yarldarlba, is a striking species native to the arid and semi-arid regions of southern Western Australia and South Australia. This plant often takes the form of a mallee and, less frequently, a tree. It features rough, fibrous bark along portions of its trunk with smooth bark higher up. The lance-shaped adult leaves and flower buds, which appear in groups of three, yield vibrant blooms in shades of red, pink, or bright yellow. Its fruit is short, broad, and conical, adding to its unique characteristics.
