The designer Mop Top Tree is of the Catalpa family. This is a larger leaved tree from the south of USA. The Designer Mop Top is produced by grafting a compact dwarf-growing Catalpa onto the top of a tall straight trunk of seedling Catalpa. The result is one of the most beautiful symmetrical compact trees you will ever see. The leaves are the size of a saucer and are an exquisite soft green. They’re tightly packed to form a thick spherical head on a strong thick trunk.
