Recently, our chief in charge and horticultural expert, Chris, took a trip to the incredible Cactus Country, and we just had to share his experience with you!
Hear all about it from Chris:
“Wandering in a sandy desert, surrounded by towering cacti, as well as beautiful and interesting desert plants, I remembered my childhood dreams of cactus. When I was 7 years old, I started my own cactus & succulent garden. While walking around, I was looking at this amazing collection through the eyes of a child who was in love with cacti and desert landscapes. I was mightily impressed by the age of the older cacti in the collection. My son and I spent over an hour and a half walking among them marvelling at their age and beauty.
We went to the retail pot and cactus display, then lunch in the restaurant, which was wonderful. We washed it down with cactus juice cocktails.
We drove 50 minutes to get there and it was absolutely worth it. Entry for adults is $25 per head. Children are free. If you don’t already love cacti, wandering in the wonderful desert garden of Cactus Country will have you loving cactus.”
